We have a 4 year old and a 5 year old from Uganda who came home in December.

Just had to throw my two cents in here.... we definitely hear these kind of comments all the time, and our kids are definitely old enough to know what they mean and the implications of hearing that they are soooooo lucky to have us and we did suchhhhh a Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01059107471554010020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5795501309788655801.post-43119781841042709682008-07-01T09:23:00.000-05:002008-07-01T09:23:00.000-05:00Yes, I can totally relate. In fact, I went so far as to go to a psychologist because I couldn't stand people thinking I was a good person. :)

I've learned that there's a line between being gracious (which is always important) and educating. If it's a Christian friend I have replied with something like "WE are the lucky ones" and then try to work in something about being obedient to God's call on our lives and how the whole process has grown us - even before the kids are home.Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05169094298877625611noreply@blogger.com
