Camping!

Ok let me first say that Paul and I are not campers. We have never camped other than a one nighter with the youth or sunday school here or there....and then we had people helping us. So we have been wanting to change that and make camping a family tradition but we really have no idea what we are doing. So when some friends of ours invited us to join them during Spring Break we jumped in! You know, for 24 hours:) That's just how we roll...... But I did take notes on how to become a camping family so when we don't have toddlers we can actually venture out for maybe 25 hours...... The most important thing I took from this was to purchase a VERY large air mattress. You see, while Paul, Jackson, and I were rolling around on tree roots, our friends DJ and Julie were kickin it at the Hilton in their tent with their DOUBLE QUEEN air mattress....I didn't even know such things exsisted. Seriously this thing rivaled my bed at home! Yes it is a must have for next years trip! Ok so here are all the great pictures!

Adoption news: We found out the other day from another family in front of us that it may well be another 2 months before we get a referral.....we were originally thinking it would be last week.....as you can probably guess I am not handling this news well.....please pray for us as we continue to trust God in his timing.

Looks like you guys really had a great time! I am still unsure about the whole camping thing. You'd think I would welcome it with open arms with having 3 boys, but not the case!
I am really hoping we start seeing some movement next week.

oh we love camping!!! it is so much fun and we have taken all of our kids when they were babies-as long as there is dirt and rock available, they will be entertained :) it is the potty training season you will want to skip camping, trust me. NOT fun. at all. although maybe easier with boys b/c, well, you know....

praying that referral surprises you sooner than later!!

looks like a fun trip! camping is fun, although i've only gone once (in a tent) and well let's just say it was very nice that there happened to be some boyscouts next to us, they pretty much did everything - all of our cooking, fires, tent, etc.. hehehe

i'm really hoping there is some movement soon. i know how frustrating that can be. thinking of you...

I love camping! How did you only manage to do it for 24 hours? What news did you hear that postpones things for two more months? Be careful about believing what you hear. I know we've heard our fair share of untruths. : ) Hoping your wait isn't that long.

Girl, i'm feelin your pain...Praying she gave us worse case scenario...this totally stinks and makes no sense :( Surely, it won't REALLY take that long, but I guess I'm mentally prepared now if it does...kj
