Update

First of all, there are so many faces on the adoption page of RLC that I can barely find my own! It is so awesome to see so many people coming together!! That being said, I don't think I will be able to keep track of all the Ethiopia people but I will try and check in once and a while. I have really been enjoying reading about your journey!

So here's an update. I really want to use Gladney but they won't send the dossier to Ethiopia until Jackson is two which is MARCH! That is kinda a long ways away. I got the AAI packet this week and I like them but still unsure. They let you start whenever but I don't know.... Also, (as if I don't need anymore stress) we decided to sell the house! AHH I know. We figure we have a lot of equity in this house and we can split what we make on the adoption and the down payment on a slightly larger house near the school I would love the kids to go to. Sound smart? I have no idea. But with the market the way it is who knows. We are just going to try it out and see how it goes. So maybe just waiting and using Gladney is best. But it just seems too long.

Oh and AAI sends PICTURES of waiting children with their packet and I totally fell in love with this sibling set of 4 kids.... I am telling you they are gorgeous. But then my too smart of a husband pointed out that I am only 12 years older than the 12 year old. Yeah that could probably be a problem:) So I guess I am just going to pray like crazy that they get adopted because for some reason they just stood out among the rest.

So that's where I am at right now..... let me know what ya think:)

Wow, you would adopt 4 kids? You are amazing!

I would love for you to email me the notes from the conference call for RLC. I was at work and was not able to be on the call. My email is amberboyd@kw.com.

By the way, if you are buying a bigger house it's a great time to sell. The money you may not get for your house you will probably save on the one you buy. It a lot of cases it evens out or works in your favor.

Thanks.

Have you checked out All God's Children International?
We are planning on starting the adoption process in August when my daughter turns 1. We've known for years that we wanted to adopt and feel like a few months ago got the go ahead from the Lord. Anyway, I ran into a lot of complications finding an agency with having a little one at home. AGCI is really great and they don't have specifications about the age of your children. I hope that helps:)

Hi, I just found your blog through the Red Letters feed. I just got "Dangerous Surrendur" to read. Can't wait to read it!

Have you checked out www.awop.org (African Widows and Orphans Project) it looks amazing and works with different agencies as well as provides services. . don't know much more than that, but have friends adopting through them!

BUMMER about Gladney.... but from the sounds of all you have going on, maybe it will end up working out to be the right timing!!!! Maybe our dossiers would get sent over around the same time!!!!! (We haven't officially started the process again, but plan to!)

I know what you mean about seeing pictures of kids and feeling drawn to them. We met an 11 year old boy while in Ethiopia and we can't stop thinking about him! But, one 11 year old is a little different than a sibling set of 4. OH and the fact that I am 31 and not 24 like your YOUNG self. :)
